MEET THE FOUNDER
Tired of all the tall girl fashion woes, founder and tall woman, Bukola Bankole, set about designing and creating apparel that's a celebration of tall fashion. A Sub-Saharan African immigrant born with an entrepreneurial spirit to a generation of businesswomen and tall parents, Bukola always stood out because of her height and fashion shopping was a struggle. This experience inspired Bukola to create a brand that addressed her needs as well as the needs of fellow tall women.
With a successful career as a Certified Agile Program Consultant (SPC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) delivering IT Projects in the US public and private sectors, she leads TallMoi and is mainly self-taught in fashion design and production.
Bukola resides in Maryland with her husband and two tall daughters. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, reading and winding down at the nearby Chesapeake Beach.
TallMoi supports Custom Collaborative, a New York City-based non-profit organization offering entrepreneurship and workforce development program that trains and supports women from low-income and immigrant communities to launch sustainable fashion careers and businesses. Learn more
